African Monarch

It is similar to the American Monarch, a species known for its great migrations. The African Monarch is also able to migrate and travel thousands of kilometres in search of suitable plants to lay their eggs on. Some African individuals, for example, can reach southern Europe where can reproduce during summer. The cold winter most likely prevents this species from settling in temperate environments.
