The Tiliqua is a large Australian lizard that does not lay eggs, but has the particularity of giving birth to already developed young (ovoviviparous). It actually produces eggs like other saurians, but the female keeps them inside until they hatch. She possesses a blue tongue which she exhibits when she feels threatened.
