Clipper

Clipper butterflies are fast and difficult to catch. The yellow subspecies philippensis lives in the Philippines islands. The bright yellow and black colour may act as a warning to predators (“Don’t even try to catch me, I’m too fast”). This is supported by the existence of another local species which shares the same colouration and is also fast and elusive (elusive colouration).
