The geckos of Madagascar are champions of camouflage, identifying them in their natural environment is a real challenge. They are nocturnal and lie motionless on tree trunks during the day. They have a sort of “miniskirt” of skin that makes them adhere completely to the bark, thus avoiding the formation of shadows that could suspect predators.
