This elegant predator is perfectly camouflaged among orchid flowers, waiting for some insects to devour, such as butterflies, bees and some beetles. It lives of epiphyte, on top of large trees in Asian rainforests. The adult male usually does not reach one-fifth of the size of the female. As in other species of mantids, often the male is being devoured by the female during mating.
