Pond slider

Red or yellow pond slider are the most famous turtles, widespread as a pet. Originally from North America, millions of individuals have been imported into Europe. Some of them have been released in nature and have reproduced in the wild. This species is threatening the European pond turtle, which it lives and competes with, as well as other species of amphibians it feeds on. Unfortunately, one of the many examples of animals imported by man we can no longer control.
