Tiger Longwing

This species, as well as many others, is poisonous. It contains toxins that comes from the plants that the caterpillars feed on.
They are not dangerous to humans, however they are unpalatable for their predators, mostly birds. They often have bright colours and a slow, exhibitionist flight, so that predators can recognise and avoid them.
